Iron hands : Exterminadores modelo gorgon y escuadra MK III / Gorgon terminator and MK III squad
Esto forma parte de mi nuevo proyecto de manos de hierro . Un capitulo / legion con un trasfondo muy chulo y algunas similitudes a los iron warriors en su afinidad a las maquinas .
Varios de ellos tienen componentes ciberneticos lo cual les da un toque de personalidad interesante . En esta entrada mostrare como he pintado estos marines para darles un toque al estilo forgeworld donde intentan hacer una iridiscencia , sin embargo yo he hecho algunas modificaciones copiandome de diversas personas, en particular de anvilarium (podeis buscarlo en facebook) .
El estilo original de forgeworld era un pincel seco de plateado sobre el que se tiraba tinta verde , marron y violeta , en cambio yo he tirado una pintura metalica de greenstuffworld llamada martian green para el verde y el toxic purple para el violeta .
En mi primer intento en vez de toxic purple use un color solido de vallejo model color violeta y tampoco quedo mal pero no resaltaba demasiado y a vista de pajaro se veia muy poco el tono violeta .
That is part of my new project for Iron Hands legion / chapter . It has a very nice background and is in some way similar to the iron warriors legion with the machine affinity .
Some of the models have bionics and cybernetics components which makes an interesting variation from vainilla marine . In that entry I will try to show how I painted the models with forgeworld style for iron hands, trying to do an iridiscent look, however Ive done some modifications copying several guys, the most inspiring was the guy from anvilarium, you can search him at facebook, great models and great ideas, so credits for him .
The original forgeworld style was a silver drybrush over black priming, that silver was then airbrushed with clear inks from tamiya or citadel (green, violet, and brown), instead of that Ive used greenstuffworld paints, the martian green for green and the toxic purple for violet .
At my first test I used a solid model color violet from vallejo and the result was not bad, but it didnt show as much contrast as the toxic purple
A partir de aqui intente probar usando toxic purple, pero con mesura, ya que un exceso de pintura de toxic purple puede arruinar el trabajo .
Use una modulacion por partes, en muslos, espinilleras, hombreras, parte superior de cabeza y la mochila la he fragmentado en la parte central y los extremos . Cada parte tiene una modulacion en martian green hacia el negro y otra inversa del toxic purple hacia el negro .
From here I did another test with toxic purple, just a little bit being careful because too much toxic purple will ruin the model.
I used a modulation at several parts of the model, thighs, legs, shoulder pads, cenital head, and the backpack generator has been splitted beetween the central part and the extreme parts. Every part has modulation using martian green to black and another oposite modulation from toxic purple to black .
Cosas a tener en cuenta, bueno lo cierto es que la mini admite muy poco weathering llamativo , como en cualquier esquema oscuro, ademas los metalicos leadbelcher al tirarles nuln oil quedan muy apagados quitando algo de contraste, pero no cabe mas remedio que aplicar el filtro ya que el modelo gana mucho a mi modo de ver .
Los modelos que tengo pintados son los termis, un iron father que es una mezcla de capellan y tecnomarine y una escuadrita de MK III de 5 marines .
Things to take into account, the truth is the model/style of paint admits very little weathering, as it is with every dark scheme, moreover the metallics (leadbelcher) become too dark when washed with nuln oil, putting some contrast off, but I think it is better to apply the filter because the models looks better .
